The English Department at C.E.O. Virgen de Navaserrada school aims at teaching our students to deal with the English language not only from a theoretical point of view, but also trying to show them the importance of using the language in context. As a result of this, our methodology involves the development and practice of the four basic skills for communication (listening, speaking, writing and reading), as recommended by the European Portfolio of Languages. This does not mean that we leave other aspects like culture aside. Actually, we consider this side of language crucial for learning to be attractive and effective! You can’t learn English if you don’t know what Fish & Chips or kilts are!
